monday menu plan

i have been doing my weekly menu planning, just not doing so good on posting it though. so i know its late on monday and monday supper is already over....but here it is :)

tonight: we had yummy wildtree sloppy joes and mac & cheese

tuesday: steaks, sour cream and onion mashed potatoes (rachael ray recipe), creamed spinach (not sure if we like it, we have never had creamed spinach)

wednesday: beef roast

thursday: new recipe- brat and tator tot casserole

friday: something with the leftover beef roast...maybe soup...i havent decided yet

saturday: we will be gone...we have a christmas with my grandpa and then we are going to my husbnad's grandpa's birthday party

sunday: we have our church christmas party :)

so there ya have it...i finally posted...and i might add i feel darn good about it :)

maddie keeping me on my toes!

i don't have much time but lately maddie has been saying the darnest things and i wanted to share some of her conversations. this is our conversation last week:

maddie: mama, whats that ring mean? (pointing to my wedding ring)
me: that means i am married to your daddy
maddie: ohhhh, (jumps on top of me giving me a huge hug) that means you are my mommy!
me: of course i am!!




last night, she had me on laughing again...i ran into the gas station to grab something and when i came out maddie started this conversation:

maddie: mama, there was an ambulance with its lights on when you were gone.
me: yeah
maddie: mama, did jesus go in an ambulance when he got hurt?
me: well, i suppose maybe if they had ambulances back then (boy didnt know how to respond to that one)

she has been asking so many questions lately and some sure make me think.....silly kid.
